Ringer 1.17 “What We Have is Worth the Pain” Review
This episode was titled ‘What we have here is worth the pain’ and it was packed with twist and turns with reveals that many did not see coming. Andrew had always been the nice guy and this is a part of him he had always shown when it came to Bridget. Nobody knew if he had another side to show because he had always been with Bridget so there was really no other side to show.

But it was a big reveal to see that he had another side that was quite menacing. And the thing here was that it was shown in form of a flashback and this implied that he had it in him all this while but had no need to display it until the need arose. And it arose with Siobhan who felt it head on when he threatened to kill her. You can tell that it was not an empty threat.
But it may now be a very convenient thing to just assume that he was the one that hired a hitman. Siobhan has always had issues with people. What happened may point to Andrew but it may have well been Olivia. But there was no way Siobhan would see anybody else at that moment except her husband as being the only person that could have hired the assassin. It also went to show the impression Andrew made with his threat really ran deep.
Another shock was when Siobhan opened up to Henry. It was quite unexpected as first but it made sense since Tyler whom she solidly had on her side was now dead and she wanted to recruit another person. Besides, she told him a lot but not everything. She deliberately set out to win his trust but holding back some vital information. It would have been foolhardy to tell him he may not be the dad to her twins. That wouldn’t have worked for her cause one bit.
Now that Henry is in on it, he won’t have any excuse to hide under as he did not seem perturbed that Siobhan plotting the death of her sister. He was not there from the onset at first but this time around he actually participated in the whole set up by keeping her away from Andrew when Siobhan went to threaten him. So we get to see another side of Henry and who knows how far he is willing to go?
But Andrew found Bridget again and the Andrew everyone was used to came back again as he talked about the working things out. He does not look as if he could hurt a fly here and underscored what he was saying when he jumped in front of her to save her.
Juliet has a hard time in school. But it was a good thing of some sort that she meekly hand her phone over to the guy in the elevator because he did not just only look threatening for the sake of it. She also got to know that how far her mom can go and reaching out to Bridget looked like the only solution.
Bridget can’t find Malcolm and nobody knows who really got Tyler killed. Andrew will definitely survive because he is kind of important for the show. How Siobhan will react when she hears the news about Andrew saving her sister is anybody’s guess.
